What we do

Holisticvet is a veterinary practice dedicated to health. We use many ways to nudge, cajole and nurture our patients (and clients) back to a healthy equilibrium.

Nick is a fully trained vet with over 20 years experience. He has also trained in homeopathy, acupuncture, natural nutrition and veterinary herbal medicine. He will use both ‘complementary’ and conventional approaches, together with a large dose of old-fashioned common sense to try to establish what is really wrong with your animal and fix it.

Nick has a special interest in immunology, internal medicine in all species and Autism spectrum behaviour in dogs and horses.

Working closely with conventional colleagues and friends in the veterinary world, we, together with patient and owner, make a hard working team focused and committed to changing health and behaviour for the better.

Holisticvet is based in Bath, Somerset. Lynne Jones runs the office, accounts and is always there to lend an ear to new and existing clients alike. She is a dog trainer, the proud guardian of Sammy, Lola and Tasha, not to mention Ian, her long-suffering partner.

During Covid

During the Covid Crisis, I am able to give advice to animals not in my direct care.

If you have a dog and you would like to consult with me, we can arrange telemedicine consultations. We are happy to talk to you from anywhere in the world. Telephone is usually sufficient, but Zoom and Skype can also be easily arranged.

New Policy for 2021: Our commitment to raw and fresh food feeding is total. We are unable to see your dog if you are unwilling or unable to consider feeding your dog a raw or fresh food diet.
